" God keeps no one waiting unless He sees that it is good for him to wait."
" as far as the east is from the west… " ( Ps. 103:12 ) Your sins have been washed away (1 Cor. 6:11 ) When God looks at you he does not see your sin. He has not one condeming thought toward you. ( Rom. 8:1) But that’s not all. You have a new heart. That’s the promise of the new covenant: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit in you: I will remove from you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws." There’s a reason that it’s called good news. Sin is not the deepest thing about you. You have a new heart. Did you hear me? Your heart is good. You are not your sin; sin is no longer the truest thing about you. Enemy-occupied territory-that’s what this world is."

" To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it careful round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of selfishness. But in the casket-safe, dark, motionless, airless-it will change. It will not be broken; it will be become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable…The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers…of love Hell."
" Until you have given yourself to Him you will not have a true self."
" What one calls the interruptions are precisely one’s real life – is the life God is sending one, day by day; what one calls ones "real life" is a phantom of one’s own imagination."
" Our whole destiny seems to lie in ourselves, in aquiring a fragrance that is not our own but borrowed, in becoming clean mirrors filled with the image of a face that is not ours (but God’s)."
"We do not want merely to see beauty…we want…to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to recieve it unto ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it."
"When we see the face of God we shall know that we have always known it. He has…sustained…all our earthly experiences of innocent love. All that was true love in them was, even on earth, far more His love than ours, and ours only because His."
" Earth, if choosen instead of Heaven, will turn out to have been, all along only a region of Hell: and earth, if put second to Heaven, to have been from the beggining a part of Heaven itself."
" The Christians are right: it is Pride which has been the cheif cause of misery in every nation and every family since the world began."
" Abstain from all thinking about other people’s faults, unless your duties as a teacher or parent make it necessary to think about tommrow.’
