This :

Know you what it is to be a child? It is something very different from the man of today. It is to have spirit yet streaming from the waters of baptism; it is to believe in love; to believe in loveliness; to believe in belief; it is to be so little that the elves can reach to whisper in your ear; it is to turn pumpkins into coaches, and mice into horses, lowness into loftiness, and nothing into everything, for each child has a fairy godmother in its soul.”

Has got me pondering this:

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"  And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them  and said, " Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18 : 1-4

  1. Isn\’t it amazing how we look at children and think they know nothing, when in reality we need to be like them to enter the kingdom of heaven.  Wow, what a great lesson for today.
    Take care,

  2. Oh, and I saw on your side panel you mentioned Mars Hill Church.  When I used to live in Seattle I went to church there.  Mark Driscoll is awesome.  I miss the way they do communion.  It was truly a great part of Seattle for me.

  3. Having a little one…full of innocence…without reservation or judgment….loving, playful, dependent, trusting….has given new meaning to Jesus\’ words.  Oh to truly "become like children" in our faith…to come to Jesus as the little children do.  Chelle, what wonderful thoughts to ponder….and I suppose I will be doing just that as the day goes on.  Always a delight to come by your little space for a visit.  When you get a chance stop by and visit us…for some fun "news"….as if that doesn\’t give it away!
